Fifteen years ago, as wedding photographers, we set out to capture guests in a way that would create frame-worthy, lasting portraits. We wanted a setup that highlighted our background in portraiture with a bold, striking aesthetic. So, we designed a studio setup with professional equipment and a custom black-and-white backdrop, focusing on simplicity and elegance. Tens of thousands of images later, we remain dedicated to this timeless approach, delivering portraits that stand the test of time.
With over 15 years of photography experience, Justin’s journey started in weddings, where he developed a deep passion for capturing life’s most significant moments through the lens. Originally from a background in business intelligence, his transition to full-time photography was fueled by a desire to create compelling visual stories.
His goal is to seize every photo opportunity to its fullest potential, ensuring that each image resonates with authenticity and emotion. This passion led to Portraits On White, helping them elevate the event photo activation scene.
Leveraging his problem-solving skills, Justin continuously innovates and refines his craft, developing new ideas and solutions for the visual experience.
Justin lives with his wife Melissa and two kids in Markham, Ontario and enjoys spending time at the cottage fishing.
