JOB OPENINING
PHOTOGRAPHER / TEAM MEMBER
WHAT WE DO
We bring the portrait studio experience to guests at any event. This means we pack up our strobes, stands, backdrop, camera and laptop and build a popup studio all around the GTA each week. What makes our photos so unique and immediately recognizable is because of our passionate and talented photographers. As such, we are home to some of the most talented portrait photographers who have been taught how to enable, create and capture dynamic photos of people and leave a positive, lasting impact while doing so.
We’re always looking for people who are eager to make our team more vibrant, diverse and effective.
ALWAYS OPTIMIZING
At Portraits On White, we are constantly tweaking and optimizing everything in pursuit of excellence, including ourselves. You will become a part of our ecosystem and thus, will continue to be pushed and challenged to be the best version of yourself not only as a photographer but as an all around person. Expect check ins and feedback on your performance with real, practical ways to level up your skills. Our leadership team (comprised of career-photographers) are always doing their homework to host inspiring training meetups, lunch & learns, and photography workshops so you can super-charge your skills.
WHAT THIS IS
This is gig-type position where you will spend time on site taking lots of portraits of guests as well as dabbling in Lightroom. You are the rare mix of creative AND highly attentive to detail. You love creativity, photography, and technology. While this role revolves heavily around the task of photo-taking, it revolves more heavily around your ability to thrive in busy social situations. You absolutely need to have strong interpersonal and conversational skills in a fast-paced environment. It’s taking lots of photos, managing files, retouching photos, creative problem solving and being an awesome human being in front of hundreds of people even under pressure. You already know a little, and we want this opportunity to put you in a position to eventually be someone who knows a lot.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
This is not a full time position but rather a gig-based role. It is also not a role suitable for people with very little experience with photography or shooting. While we will provide extensive training and help, the pace in which we move and expect you to grow would not be suitable for someone with less than 1 year of shooting in the last couple of years.

You must have 1-2 years “working” in people-based photography whether on a professional or personal level.
